And to back them up is First Lady of Bongo Flava music, Lady Jay Dee, as well as the ever-controversial Ray C.
These are among the very first artistes to place Bongo Flava on the East Africa map and indeed Africa.
“We have not been gone, we have been working to change the direction of Bongo music, by taking it international,” says AY, who just released a collaboration with American rapper Romeo in the song ‘Speak With Ya Body’.
Just before releasing that song, AY had unleashed another collaboration with Ms Trinity, a Hollywood artiste who has done songs with other big stars like Beenie Man.
Self-proclaimed heavyweight, Profesa Jay, is back in the game with a major club banger ‘Kama Ipo’.
